Hoy traemos una nueva entrada de How to spend your freak time dedicada a un libro de la editorial Dolmen: Sailor Moon, la Biblia, de Andrés Argal Sotés. Este libro es el perfecto complemento llegado el momento de tragarnos los 300 episodios que supone el anime de Sailor Moon. Esta compuesto de una serie de apartados: La primera parte está completamente centrada en la historia de Sailor Moon, es decir, el anime, manga, dorama, musicales... Y en relación con esto la recepción en España. Por otro lado tenemos la presentación de cada uno de los personajes, tanto guerreras como villanos, un recopilatorio que me ha parecido bastante completo en lo que se refiere a que cubre tanto en anime como el manga. El tercer apartado estaría dedicado al todo el merchandising y productos que ha generado este fenómeno y en última instancia la miscelánea, referida a curiosidades, lemas de la serie...

Antes de pasar a comentar cada una de las partes, voy a nombrar alguna carencias que creo que tiene esta guía: Bien es verdad que es muy completa en todo lo que se refiere al anime y al manga en sí, pero apenas nos dice nada de lo que ha habido detrás. Me explico, todo aquello que se nombra en esta guía es lo que se ve en episodios de anime y capítulos de manga, al igual que las curiosidades, que si estás atento, pues puedes darte cuenta tú solo. Lo que yo hecho en falta es algún tipo de contenido exclusivo, como puede ser una recopilación de entrevistas que se hayan hecho a la autora, quizás algunos bocetos (Que realmente están presentes en la edición que hizo Glénat del manga), o todo lo que ha generado Sailor Moon en el mundo de las Magical Girls.

Centrándome en la guía, como ya he dicho, es un complemento perfecto para abordar el anime, ya que nos presenta fichas de personajes, resúmenes de capítulos y algunos datos o gazapos que podemos encontrar en estos. Un aspecto que me ha gustado bastante es el hecho de que se trate todo el merchandising que alguna vez estuvo a la venta (Aunque me falta color en las fotos). Otro aspecto interesante es que trata en tema de la homosexualidad, algo que realmente se ha pasado un tanto por alto a la par que ha generado fanarts a cascoporro. Por último, como ya he mencionado, el tema de las miscelánea es algo que siempre gusta, ya que se tratan aspectos que no apreciamos o que realmente no se saben a la hora de leer el manga. 

En resumidas cuentas, la guía en el campo "de lo que se puede ver", como ya he explicado en el párrafo anterior, es muy completa, pero me faltan algunos aspectos un tanto fuera de lo oficial. Una lectura, que quizá no haya que leer de golpe, sino ir pasando las páginas a la par que avanzan los episodios para sumergirnos más y más en el mundo de Takeuchi.

Today we're back to bring a new post about How to spend your freak time dedicated to a book published by the publishing house Dolmen: Sailor Moon, la Biblia (Sailor Moon, the Bible), by Andrés Argal Sotés. This book is the perfect complement when we have swallowed the whole 300 episodes that the anime of Sailor Moon has. It's integrated by a series of paragraphs: The first part is completely focused on the story of Sailor Moon, I mean, the anime, manga, doramas, musicals... And related to this, the reception in Spain. In another one we have the introducing of every one of the characters, both sailors and villains, a collection that seems to me pretty complete in regard to what's about the anime and the manga series. The third one is dedicated to the whole merchandising and products that has generated this phenomenon and, ultimately, the miscellanea, refered to curiosities, the slogans of the series...

Before talking about each one of these parts, I'm going to name some lacks that I found in this guide: It's true that it's pretty complete about what is in regard to anime and manga themselves, but we're barely told about what was behind it. I mean, all those things mentiones in this guide is what we can see in the episodes of anime and manga, the sane as curiosities that, if you're thoughtful, you can notice yourself. What I really miss is some kind of exclusive content, as it could be a compilation of interviews that were made to the author, maybe some sketches (That actually were in the edition that Glénat made of the manga), or everything that Sailor Moon meant in the world of the Magical Girls.

Focusing in the guide, as I said before, it's the perfect complement to approach to the anime, because it gives us some character tabs, summaries of the chapters and some facts and fails that we can find in these. A thing that I really liked is the fact that it talks about the whole merchandising once it was in sale (But I miss the color in the photos). Another thing that I like is that it treats the topic of the homosexuality, something that was overlooked and, at the same time, generated loads and loads of fans. Finally, as I said before, the theme of the miscellanea is something that always likes, because it treats topics that we don't apreciate o that are not actually known when reading the manga.

In summary, this guide when talking about "what can be seen", as I said in the paragraph before, is pretty complete, but I miss some aspects that talk about those things out of the official part. It's a reading that, maybe must not be read in a bang, but turning the pages at the same time we are watching the episodes to get deeper and deeper in the world of Takeuchi.

Hoy vamos a terminar la semana y la temática de Halloween dedicada a Tim Burton con el protagonista masculino de la película La novia cadáver: Víctor Van Dort ^^

Víctor es el tímido, nervioso y torpe prometido de Victoria Everglot y accidental marido de Emily, la novia cadáver. Es presentado en la historia cuando es visto sentado en su habitación, dibujando una mariposa, antes de ir a conocer a su futura esposa, Victoria, y acudir a la práctica para la boda. En primer lugar conoce a Victoria cuando se sienta a tocar el piano en su casa y ella se acerca a él. El ensayo para la boda no funciona bien, y al no poder recordar sus votos, tira el anillo, y, accidentalmente, prende fuego a la señora Everglot. Después de ser regañado por el pastor Galswells, huye al bosque junto a la ciudad, donde practica sus votos. Accidentalmente, despuesta a Emily, y es llevado a la Tierra de los Muertos, donde comenzará su aventura por regresar junto a Victoria.

Ahora os dejamos con el conjunto dedicado a Victor ^^

- Una camiseta blanca, algo básico que servirá para evitar el picor del jersey granate que llevará encima.
- Los pantalones a rayas le darán ese toque elegante que todo novio debe tener.
- Los zapatos no son lo más cómodo para caminar por el bosque, pero la ceremonia nupcial obliga a ciertas cosas.
- Un chaquetón negro le abrigará en esos paseos durante las noches frías.
- Un fular azul le cubrirá el cuello, evitando así todo tipo de resfriados.
- Finalmente, un llavero con forma de Sobras, su mejor amigo, para recordarle durante toda la vida.

Today we will finish the week and the theme of Halloween dedicated to Tim Burton with the male character of the film Corpse bride: Victor Van Dort ^^

Victor is the shy, nervous, and bumbling fiance of Victoria Everglot and accidental husband of Emily, the corpse bride. He is introduced into the story when he is seen sitting in his room, drawing a butterfly, before heading off to meet his bride-to-be, Victoria, and to practice for their wedding. He first meets Victoria when he sits down to play the piano in her house and she approaches him. His wedding rehearsal does not go well, as he cannot remember his vows, drops the ring, and accidentally sets Lady Everglot's dress on fire. After being scolded by Pastor Galswells, he runs into the forest on the edge of town to practice his vows. Accidentally wakes Emily up, and is whisked to the Land of the Dead, where his adventure to go back next to Victoria will begin.

No we'll leave you with the outfit for Victor ^^

- A white T-shirt, something basic that will serve to avoid the itching of the garnet jumper that he will wear too.
- Striped trousers will give him that elegant touch that every groom must have.
- Shoes are not the most comfortable to have a walk in the forest, but a wedding has some requirements.
- A black coat will cover him in those walks in the cold nights.
- A blue scarf will cover his neck, avoiding in this way every kind of cold.
- Finally, a Scraps shaped keyring, his best friend, to remember him every day of his life.

Hola de nuevo ^^

Estamos aquí para presentar un nuevo conjunto inspirado en Emily, la protagonista de la película La Novia Cadáver, con el que terminamos los conjuntos para chica de esta temática. 

Emily, la novia cadáver, se autoproclama como la novia del joven Victor Van Dort, además de ser la ex novia de Barkis Bittern.

Aparece en la historia en el momento en el que Victor, que acaba de salir del ensayo fallido de los votos para la boda, se interna en el bosque practicando los susodichos otos. Después de recitarlos perfectamente, coloca su anillo de compromiso en lo que parece ser una rama más, sin embargo se trata del dedo de Emily. Ella aparece de las profundidades del suelo y lo persigue hasta atraparlo y llevarlo consigo al Mundo de los muertos. Allí, Victor se entera de que hace tiempo Emily se enamoró de un misterioso hombre que la asesinó en el momento en el que pensaban escaparse juntos para así quedarse con su dinero.

Emily es una persona muy vital. Muy a menudo aparece riéndose y disfruta bailando o tocando el piano. Sin embargo, es un tanto temperamental y se pone celosa fácilmente. Emily tiene un alma dulce y perdona fácilmente a las personas a las que aprecia.

Vamos allá con nuestra selección :)

- Vestido blanco de tirantes, no es un vestido de novia, pero tiene un toque dulce que va bastante con la personalidad de nuestro personaje.

- Botas de inspiración victoriana, Emily necesita un toque atemporal.

- Diadema de flores, similar a la que lleva nuestro personaje en la película.

- Estola blanca para sustituir el velo, lleva un estampado de calaveras en negro denotando su origen en el Mundo de los muertos.

- Bolsito o clutch en color blanco que combina con el resto de prendas del conjunto.

- Pendientes de ganchillo en forma de gusano, al igual que el amigo inseparable de nuestro personaje (Sólo que ya no sale del ojo).

- Anillo con una piedra azul, no es un anillo de compromiso, pero combina con el resto de elementos.

Hi again ^^

Today we present the last girl outfit in this theme. The outfit is inspired by Emily, the main character in the film the Corpse Bride.

Emily, the corpse bride, is the undead, self-proclaimed bride of the young Victor Van Dort and ex-bride of Barkis Bittern.

She is introduced into the story when Victor, who has just come from his failure of a wedding rehearsal, wanders into the woods to practice his vows. After perfectly reciting his vows, he places the wedding ring on one of Emily's skeletal fingers, thinking it's another branch sticking out of the ground. Emily rises up from the ground and chases Victor until she catches him, and takes him to the Land of the Dead. It is revealed that Emily fell in love with a mysterious man but was murdered during a planned elopement for her money.

Emily has a very lively personality. She's often seen smiling and laughing, and she enjoys dancing and playing the piano. However, she has a bit of a temper and gets jealous easily. Emily is at heart a loving soul, however, and forgives fairly.

Here we go with our selection :)

- White sundress, it isn't a bride dress, but it has a sweet touch that fits with Emily's personality.

- Victorianboots, our character  needs an atemporal touch.

- Hairband with flowers, like the one that our character wears in the film.

- White scarf like the veil, with some black skulls to reminds us the Land of the Dead.

- Wite clutch that fits with the orther wears.

- Crochet worm earrings like Emily's friend (But she doesn't looses her eye).

- Ring with a blue stone, it isn't a bridal ring, but fits with the other elements.
