Freak Wardrobe

Hoy traemos, gracias a las editoriales Dolmen y Aleta, una entrada sobre cómics ^^ Hoy hablaremos de Invencible #15 (que incluye los números del 66 al 70, Invincible returns y los habituales bocetos y comentarios de los artistas), el último tomo en español hasta la fecha de este curioso superhéroe.


La verdad es que este tomo ha llegado a nuestras manos por casualidad, y aunque, como siempre, creo que es más recomendable leer todo para no perder ningún detalle, este tomo es perfectamente comprensible sin haber leído lo anterior, o al menos te pone en contexto. Sin embargo, deja la historia a medias, por lo que creo que habrá que esperar a que salga el próximo para saber más.


Nos situamos en un universo donde marcianos, mutantes, superhéroes y robots se funden en una guerra por el planeta tierra. Invencible, el protagonista, se enfrenta a una vida un tanto peculiar, enviado como encargado para preparar la conquista viltrumita (planeta del que proviene), pero su vida está allí, su familia, su novia, su hermano... No es fácil para él si, además, le sumamos los problemas típicos para un joven, riñas familiares, trabajo, estudios... En definitiva, un joven corriente con una vida peculiar.

Aunque, como ya he dicho, la historia queda un poco coja leyendo únicamente un volumen, me ha gustado bastante la historia, ya que desde un primer momento contextualiza todo y, aunque con algunos vacíos, se puede seguir perfectamente, y cuando terminas, te deja con ganas de más. Robert Kirkman ha hecho un buen trabajo. Por otro lado, el dibujo de Cory Walker me ha encantado, retoma las ideas de los superhéroes clásicos como Superman pero adaptadas a un mundo moderno y extraño donde no sólo encontramos humanos y seres de apariencia humana, sino que también encontramos robots, dragones, pequeños pulpos rosados... En definitiva, me ha gustado.


No voy a hacer un resumen, ya que creo que está todo dicho, pero si sois aficionados a la ciencia ficción, a los superhéroes, a los marcianos, a los mutantes... Posiblemente ésta sea vuestra saga. ^^ Nos vemos mañana con un nuevo conjunto de fin de semana ;)

Today we bring, thanks to the Spanish publishing houses Dolmen and Aleta, a post about comics ^^ Today we will talk about Invencible #15 (that includes the numbers from 66 to 70, Invincible returns and the usual sketches and comments of the artists), the last volume until today in Spanish about this curious superhero.


The truth is that this volume has come to us by chance, and although, as always, I think it's better to read the whole volumes before to not lost a detail, this volume is completely understandable without having read anything before, or at leat it puts you in context. However, it's leaves half the story, and that's why we must wait until the next volume arrives to know more about it.


We are located in a universe where aliens, mutants, superheroes and robots merge in a war to get the planet Earth. Invincible, the main character, faces a quirky life, sent in charge to prepare the viltrumite conquest (from the planet he comes from), but his life is there, his family, his girlfriend, his brother... It's not easy for him if, in spite of that, we add the usual problems for a young boy, family fights, work, study... Ultimately, a normal boy with a quirky life.

Although, as I said before, the story is a little bit lame just reading this volume, I really loved this story, because from the very first moment everything is in context and, although with some gaps, it's possible a perfectly continue reading, and when the end arrives, you want more of it. Robert Kirkman made a good job. In the other side, I really loved the drawing of Cory Walker, he takes the classic superheroes as Superman but adapted to a modern and weird world where we don't just find humans and human-like beings, but we can also find robots, dragons, little pink octopuses... Summarizing, I like it.


I won't make a summary, because I think everything is said, but if you love science fiction, superheroes, aliens, mutants... It's possibly  your comic series ^^ We'll see you tomorrow with a new outfit for the weekend ;)
